Free 1Malaysia Email Account Just Doesn't Make Sense !!

I just dont get the idea behind free 1Malaysia Email by the government and to spend RM50M on it is totally absurd !! Didn't Yahoo/MSN/Google already have free email accounts ? Why don't give free the rakyat Wi-Fi or computer instead ?  Free 1Malaysia Email  account just dont make sense at all !
